This was my first time ever using a cleaning service, and I communicated this to the cleaner, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Overall, the cleaning was decent, but I didn’t feel it was great value for money. I booked a 2.5-hour session for our 1-bedroom flat with 1 bathroom, which the app recommended as the appropriate timeframe. I also asked specifically to leave the bedroom out, but despite this, the session slightly overran, which left me surprised given the size of the flat (52.5 sqm) and the excluded room. The cleaner did a good job of keeping things tidy, but in the bathroom, items that had been moved were not put back in their original places. While they were arranged neatly, it would have been nice if the cleaner had asked whether I wanted them returned. Additionally, some small cleaning details were missed, such as the soap holder not being cleaned and the home office desk left undusted. Perhaps I could have communicated these points better, but since it was my first time using a cleaning service, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. That said, I wonder if time constraints played a role in these being missed. Lastly, I noticed that the wet sponges and mops were put back in the cupboard without being left to air dry. It would have been helpful if the cleaner had asked about my preferences in cases like this but also overall. While I understand that the cleaner likely didn’t want to disturb me, a polite ask would have been appreciated..
